MWC2015 is on the horizon, which means a whole avalanche of new product launches, but we’ll be getting an early present on February 25 courtesy of Motorola. The Lenovo-owned company has promised to hand-deliver mystery boxes to members of the press on Wednesday, although details of what it contains are thin on the ground.

That doesn’t mean we can’t have a guess though: Is it an update to the Moto 360 smartwatch? Are we getting a brand new Motorola phone (though it seems a bit soon for that)? Or is it something else entirely? Is the firm going to join Facebook, Microsoft, Samsung and others and get into the virtual reality market? We’ll know for sure in a few days’ time.

It is almost confirmed that HTC will release its One M9 and Samsung will launch its Galaxy S6 in the Barcelona-based event. Confirming this, HTC had released a teaser weeks ago. But, Motorola has plans to surprise its fans at MWC 2015. The US-based smartphone manufacturer has started sending invitations to the press mentioning they are going to release something exciting on 25 February.

Following the invitation, experts are speculating whether the device is 4G LTE enabled Moto E 2nd generation or something else? Various rumours about Moto E 2nd Generation have been doing the rounds of late. Recently, UK’s shopping portal Argos listed the unreleased Motorola phones: Moto G Titan LTE, Moto E Styx LTE for £159.95 (around $242) and £109.95 (around $166), respectively.

Moto G Titan is reportedly the LTE version of the second generation Moto G, whereas the Moto E Styx is the advanced model of Moto E. Once the word got out in the media, both the web pages of the devices were taken down; but by then many tech blogs had already taken screen-shots of the website.

The new Moto G Titan measures 141.5×70.7×10.99mm in dimensions but weighs 155g, which is 6g more than the current 3G model. It features a similar 5-inch display with 1280×768 pixels resolution. According to a GSMArena report, the Moto G Titan will purportedly feature 8GB of storage, 8MP camera and a quad-core processor.

Meanwhile, Indian e-commerce retailer has also announced some exchange offers and a discount of Rs 1,000 on the first generation Moto E smartphone. Moto E now has several potential competitors, including Xiaomi Redmi 1s, Lenovo A6000 and Huawei Honor Holly. The current sensation, Lenovo A6000, features 4G-LTE along with 64GB computing capability. It is expected that Motorola will offer something similar or more on the successor of Moto E.
