First Tegra 4i smartphone Wiko Wax with affordable price just €200 in Europe

The first smartphone powered by the Tegra 4i chipset is made by French manufacturer Wiko and is called WAX. It packs a quad-core Tegra 4i with four Cortex-A9 cores running at 1.7 GHz. Its GPU has 60 cores instead of the Tegra 4’s 72.

Nvidia and European phone manufacturer Wiko had teamed up to introduce the world’s first Tegra 4i chipset-based smartphone – Wiko Wax – at the MWC 2014 event. Weeks after the official unveiling of the smartphone, we finally have information about its pricing and availability. According to reports, the Wiko Wax will be priced at Eur 200 (approximately Rs. 16,737) and will be initially available in select European markets such as Italy, Germany and France.

Specs of the Wiko Wax include a 1.7GHz Tegra 4i Cortex-A9 quad-core processor with 60-core graphics rather then the 72 of the Tegra 4 chip. It has a 4.7-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable via micro SD), and it runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

There’s also an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and it incorporates built-in LTE. The Wiko Wax price tag will be €200 and it will release from next month. We know the phone will be available in Italy, and other countries in Europe such as Germany and France also look likely to sell this French-made phone.
