SAMSUNG GALAXY CORE ADVANCE – launching JANUARY 2014, 2nd week

After the successful launch of Galaxy Grand 2 in India, Samsung is all set to launch advance version of Galaxy Core in the Indian market sooner than expected, in second week of January 2014. As is pretty obvious, the phone in question plays successor to the Galaxy Core and Core Plus and comes across as a mid-range device that has a decent set of components hidden under the hood.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Core Advance will be available in two colour variants – Deep Blue and Pearl White

The phone has been listed on the online shopping website under “Forthcoming product”.

Unlike other Galaxy Core smartphones, the Galaxy Core Advance comes with a design overhaul and is a single SIM device. The South Korean handset maker claims that the Galaxy Core Advance comes with number of usability functions and enhanced accessibility features for disabled and visually impaired users.

Some of the usability and accessibility features include optical scan that can recognize text from an image and reads it aloud; light sensing technology, which uses the device’s camera to sense light direction and brightness, and instant voice recorder which gives access to make quick voice notes. Samsung has also equipped the Galaxy Core Advance with screen curtain that enables users to operate commands on a black screen and saves battery life.
